Transparency & Sustainability
At Atelier Laleh we put a lot of work into sourcing fabrics that are environmentally friendly and durable, and design timeless pieces that can be worn for many years. Our clothes are made-to-order so as to avoid wasteful overproduction, and is made in Helsinki, Finland at the hand of one of our co-owners, Irma. We produce a maximum of 10 items per week, use our scraps to make scrunchies, and the buttons we use are recycled.
Most of the fabrics we use, have an OEKO-TEX® eco-certificate. OEKO-TEX® is a worldwide consistent, independent testing and certification system for raw, semi-finished, and finished textile products at all processing levels, as well as accessory materials used. OEKO-TEX® takes account of important legal regulations, such as banned chemicals. Extensive product checks and regular company on-site visits also ensure that the industry has a globally sustainable awareness of the responsible use of chemicals.
The linen fabrics used for our products come from the AB Linas and AB Siulas manufacturers in Lithuania.
